Meet Kylie Judge

Somatic Grief Counselling + Relational Focus + Ritual Support. B.ED., RTC

  • She is a lover of beauty, travel and connection. She believes in taking healthy risks, spending time in places in nature that remind us of our place in the world, taking responsibility for our lives and remembering to play! Kylie is a fierce lover of the more than human world (every trip to Latin America has an animal story attached), being a part of initiatives that re-generate landscapes and building healthy community connections is what she enjoys being a part of. Conscious evolution of systems and relationships to support a greater quality of life for all beings, co-creating and collaborating with like-hearted partners and coming into right relationship with living and dying are all arenas that Kylie enjoys spending her time in.

Kylie also loves quality time with her spirit bear/dog Tucker, enjoying the river at their family acreage, doing conscious breathing/movement, gardening, all things pink + colourful and travelling with her partner of over 20 years. Kylie’s all-time favourite thing to do is spend time in the sun at her favourite beach spots and co-operative permaculture farm in her beloved Costa Rica.

  • Kylie is passionate about living with the awareness that we are all going to die, and we just don’t know when. Her perspective is that when we can soften into this truth, it becomes possible to orient ourselves to living our most authentic lives. She arrived into this embodied understanding from living with chronic illness and a collapsing jaw for 25 years and from a rough initiation into grief and loss in 2016.

Kylie believes that a lot of the pain that we see in the world currently comes from unexpressed and unprocessed grief and trauma. She feels that we are living in a time where it is essential for us to get better about feeling and creating supportive, safe enough spaces where we can come together and honour our experiences, our grief and ultimately our love.

Kylie is about deep listening, resonant language and remembering our ancient roots together. The sacred practices of ritual, drumming, dancing, breathing, singing, and sitting in circles are just some of the ancient healing arts which have supported us for generations, to live our lives in a way that is current, embodied and connected.

    In short:

Kylie is compassionate, kind and authentic. She has a huge heart, with lots of space for the WHOLE human experience to be witnessed – a loving space to be SEEN, HEARD, FELT and companioned.

  • Kylie spent the first half of her professional career in Education, first as a kindergarten teacher and later teaching English through the YMCA to Newcomers to Canada. Inspired by her own health crisis with Lyme Disease and Bio-toxin Illness and her rough initiation into grief, Kylie went on to study Conscious breathwork, Ecstatic Dance, Yoga, Reiki and Somatics and found these practices deeply healing for herself personally. She committed to them first, as a part of her own self-care and then eventually began sharing some of them, as a part of her passion for supporting others. Kylie has since completed a three-year diploma program in Transpersonal Psychology and Counselling and is now a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor. Kylie spent 2.5 years working with Hospice in client support offering grief counselling, creating programming and providing advanced care planning for clients and families. In 2023 she had the opportunity to become certified as a Compassionate Bereavement Care Provider and in 2024 a Certified Grief Educator. She has recently completed an apprenticeship with Francis Weller in Grief Tending, as well as a year-long grief ritual facilitator training program. Kylie is now working in Private Practice as a counsellor with a focus on somatics, grief and bereavement, as well as ritual care.
